Worst coffee and rudest customer service ever. They won’t grind fresh beans cause it’s too busy, although I was the only person there for 5 minutes. The milk wasn’t steamed properly and they want to charge premium prices. They’re taking advantage of their location, clearly.

NOT SO LIT: barely any chai in the soy chai latte. The pastry was had a part that felt like I was eating a rock.. it costed around $12 for both so it wasn’t bad

Other Zoukis are better. I’ve been eating at so many Zoukis that it’s spooky recently. That’s because I get 7 a.m. shift assignments at lots of different hospitals around the Melbourne region. I often catch trains to far-flung areas when the clock still says 5:__ a.m., and there aren’t a lot of coffee shops open then. So I have to get my brain-stim at whatever cafe is running in my hospital of the day. The Zouki corporation has a lock on food service in many of the public hospitals, so I have a lot of Zouki coffee.
Some Zoukis do it better than others. The one at the Royal Melbourne/Royal Women’s is big with lots of choices, like the hospital complex. The one at Monash Hospital in Clayton is spiffy-looking. This one is a trifle daggy. I had a large flat white, but it wasn’t foamed like Australia’s signature coffee. I’d call it a cappucino. I don’t expect barista cafe quality coffee from a hospital cafeteria at 6:35 a.m., but it was just meh. The pastry selection is not as large as I expected from a hospital the size of Sunshine. The the rest of the food service looked cafeteria-ish too. If there was anything else open in the neighbourhood at that hour, I’d go there.
