Banh Mi’s or Vietnamese bread rolls are known for their taste and often cheap pricing, making them a popular option when on the go for lunch or anything in between. You know the authenticity of a place by looking at its prices and the ingredients. Places like Bag’et for instance are blasphemy to charge well beyond $5 for a Banh Mi… With that being said Banh Mi Viet located just across Woolworths in St Albans offers prompt service with some good bread rolls.
Today we opted for the crackling pork and original combination and were pleased. The meats were fresh, the bread was soft enough, and the flavours did well to give off the authentic taste these rolls are so infamous for. It was just lacking a WOW factor that made the difference between a good bread roll, and a great one. With that in mind, it certainly is a filling and portion fuelled roll that will leave you full.
Good Banh Mi by any measure, fresh ingredients and a large portion size. Recommend trying it if you are in the area!
