This is a cosy bar where everyone is made to feel welcome. Always has excellent food and attentive service. It never fails to deliver a great night and although a little expensive you get what you pay for.
Very, very disappointed with our experience at Di Stasio. The restaurant was packed with tables and we were squeezed into a tiny corner. The waiters were quite officious and sloppy – spilling wine when pouring. We got the impression that they were doing us a favour. The whole experience was unfriendly and dismissive. The food was good but not great. If that’s the Italian dining experience it’s not what I have experienced in Italy! More like a vulgar Australian version. Never again!
This is THE place to go for a date, for a late night meal, for a working meal, for lovely food in small exquisite portions , for the best wait staffi n town, with the di stasio touch. Have the lamb chops and the Roman gnocchi as well as the warm caprese. A bit of affordable civilisation. If you haven’t been here you haven’t really eaten in Melbourne
