I’m in two minds about this review as this is my new favourite place in the neighbourhood and I want to keep it secret!
Great food whether it’s a Sunday afternoon snack or a dinner – the menu is small but perfect. Great selection of drinks too.
Fantastic team and service, everything appears easy, relaxed and effortless. We recently hosted our wedding anniversary here with 15 friends and it was a fantastic night, thanks to Nicholas, Philip and the team!

Lovely Parisian tables on Fitzroy St or sharing tables overlooking the street – both great spots.
We were strolling along Fitzroy street trying to work out where we could relax and have a couple of bevies. I had heard from friends about Bistro Voliere, so we decided to try it out.
It was absolutely fantastic.
We sat by the massive open window on Fitzroy Street overlooking everyone who walked by, as we sipped our champagne.
The champagne was first rate- from Reims.
We were so settled we ended up ordering a charcuterie board and chips.
OMG – for $50 it was AMAZING. We couldnt even finish it.
I always rate a French cafe by its bread, the butter, the atmosphere and their champagne offering.
I commented on the bread, and apparently it is flown in from France!!?! The butter is that butter that you steal from Parisian restaurants (well I use to- I was young and carefree and a butter connoisseur). The onion jam on the board- holy polooza?! I would buy it jarred if I could.
The chips were perfect- a lovely crunch.
The atmosphere is spot on. It really feels like a French Bistro. Mosaic tiles and high ceilings and the most magnificent window on Fitzroy Street- if you are fortunate enough to nab it.
We will most definitely be back.
Delectable menu with a classy yet relaxed atmosphere. Outstanding service by French staff. I keep coming back and I have never been disappointed.
