Love the vibe and ambiance of this restaurant – it’s hectic, packed, with smoke and sizzle coming off the grill in the central open kitchen. Fresh seafood on display, it reminds me of the bars in Spain and with that, I can’t help myself with a pint of tap beer.
*Caramelised onion on sourdough with anchovies – I was hoping for these to be white anchovies, but it was the preserved anchovies, arriving in an open tin. I still like these anchovies though, and the tin just makes it feel a bit deli-like. I love the concept and the sweet caramelised onions go so well with the salty bite of the anchovy. Couldn’t use up all the anchovies though, it’s more enough for 4 pieces of bread, not 3.
*Octopus pintxo – chunky pieces of octopus tentacles on a skewer, it was tender and juicy with charred flavours.
*Calamari with squid ink – little bit of an elastic exterior but when you bite into it, it’s quite tender as well.
Everything goes down really, well with that refreshing beer.
I didn’t have a problem with the service, they were pretty attentive even though it was a super busy period.

Three words to describe this place! Fresh! Fresh! Fresh! Cant believe I didnt come here soon enough.
Ambience : 3/5. Cosy and comfortable. Soft jazz music at the background which was great. However, we were seated at the end of the restaurant sharing the wall with the toilet although there were other empty tables at the front.
Food : 5/5. FRESH SEAFOOD is the word. Ordered the oysters, the claypot – Orpheus, chilli crab and Cajun flathead. Portions were generous especially the claypot and chilli crab. Well seasoned and you can still taste the freshness of the clam and crab. Flathead was a little bit dry by the potatoes were well cooked.
Service : 4/5. Great service. Food came really quick. Too quick that we had everything came almost at the same time. The waitress was very attentive; she made sure that we have enough paper towels and our glass was always filled.
Definitely my favorite seafood bar! Will be back again.

Tried this place on Monday evening after recommendation from a friend. The place is nice and cozy. We ordered grill stingray with chilli sambal which was too dry, the rice that came with rice was too soft, it wasn’t that good. We also ordered grilled calamari which was tasty. The best and also the recommendation is the garlic tiger prawns, it was superb. Fresh prawns that cook perfectly well, serves with bread and soak in chilli garlic sauce. I will be back just for that chilli prawns.

If you want to add a bit of romance to a very beautiful dinning experience / special occasion , then outside dinning section at this restaurant must be opted…And do not worry about the cold, there are enough heaters to keep you warm.

Our personal favorite was the Baked Snapper… Perfectly crisp and served with Chermoula

The Moroccon Claypot served with couscous was beautiful….A bit more on a Tangier side (which Kunnu isn’t a huge fan of ) but quite yum

Decent choice for Vegan and Vegetarian too. Decently priced and very warm.hospitality.

    A Must

Never get disappointed at this place for seafood. Freshness and suitable cooking is the typical magic in Claypots Seafood Bar.

The garlic king prawn is well cooked and yummy. It has been a must-order for me. When it comes to grilled calamari, I was stunned at its size and freshness. It is the best calamari Ive ever had. Grilled fish are of good quality. The flathead and John Dory is provided with potatoes and vegetables. Absolutely yummy. While the flounder has extremely crispy skin and tender flesh.

The Greek saladis fresh. I love it.

The eggplant sides is also tasty.

The restaurant itself is a bar as well, providing cosy and musical atmosphere for every one. Where music meets seafood, where wonders happen.

We fancied crab, we were in the area and this place had fantastic reviews so we were looking forward to trying it out. It took a while for us to realise that we were standing right in front of it as it didn’t have outdoor signs with the name of the restaurant on them. The seating at the front looked nice but was a bit empty on a Saturday evening so we opted for the back where it was busy. There is an outdoor section like a courtyard but it was a cold evening so we decided on a table inside where it was a bit dark. There was a cool octopus decoration hanging from the ceiling though. The waitress who served us was nice but quite unhelpful, perhaps because her English wasn’t the best. We ordered the chilli crab which she said was just the chilli crab as she was comparing this to a stir fry which she said came with other stuff. However, the chilli crab came and it was served with rice and mussels. There were 3 small blue swimmer crabs which, along with the mussels, tasted fresh but the sauce was terrible. It had no flavour and was just salty. Quite frankly, it ruined the dish and the rice was barely edible since it had soaked up all the sauce and was therefore incredibly salty. The dish cost $75. We also ordered the flathead which was sizzling and looked burned. It was ok but had so many bones that my Dad swallowed one. We asked the waitress about sides as we were worried we were going to end up with crab and fish and nothing else. She failed to tell us that the fish came with bok choy and potatoes. I don’t know what they did to the potatoes but they were soggy and looked like they had been boiled ages ago and left on the side. We asked what sides were available and were told only potatoes and salad. We were surprised by the lack of variety for the sides. We ordered the potatoes which were nice enough. It was a terribly disappointing experience for our group. I’m surprised it has so many good reviews. Maybe it was a bad day but I sure won’t be rushing back.

Great food and good service! We had prawns, grilled octopus, Greek salad. The prawns were delicious, the grilled octopus slightly overcooked but tasty and served with grilled veggies. The house pinot grigio was also pleasant.
