Delicious bakery. The raspberry danish was out of this world tasty. The coffee (long black and flat white) were reasonably sized and well made. Definitely would return in a heart beat.
taste not good and dont know why so many people to here. Ordered chocolate cheese cake, turns out its a chocolate orange cheese cake….
Europa is a classic clear cut case of looks better than it tastes. Their meringue is probably my favourite because its bigger than my head and a sugar high is inevitable but a lot of their other offerings are inevitably disappointing. Its such a tempting window display Ive been caught out many times thinking Ill just give it another chance but its never worth the calories. Try one of the other cake shops in the famed sweet strip
Had a chocolate roulade which was stale and insanely sweet . Pure sugary nonsense at a premium . Furthermore, I felt sick for hours after eating it . Avoid .
So I came here two days ago and must say it looks pretty adorable and had so much variety with all the cakes and desserts displayed. Also customer service was excellent and nothing to complain about. Only downfall is that its quite pricey. I paid for a carrot cake which wasn’t so big for $6.80 and same for the red velvet cake. Foods delicious and would come again another time.
Popped into Europa cakes on Saturday to grab a takeaway cake for a afternoon tea on Sunday. Their vanilla slice was very good and the best I’ve tasted from the cakes shops in St Kilda. Cakes aren’t cheap here but worth paying for the vanilla slice. I’ve been caught out buying great looking cakes that have tasted average down this strip so I stick with the tried and true.
As a famed cake store down Acland Street in St Kilda – Europa is alright. it’s and old school joint which attracts folks with its glass windows showcasing it’s finest, spongiest and fluffiest cakes and biscuits over its decor. Not so much a place for it’s ambience but for what it’s worth its fine as it’s more a takeaway spot. My mum wanted something with her coffee so we ended up getting a couple of sweet bites -> almond cake, an apple strudel and some almond biscuits. The strudels pastry was flaky and buttery but the filling was a bit too sweet. Both the almond cake and biscuits were OK too.
