Not too shabby!
This place was almost at the other end of St. Kilda beach so it was a nice walk!
I went in hopes that I could get a smoothie bowl… but apparently they ran out and my second option was to get the baked eggs buuut they ran out of that too ._. Also, at first when I walked in there was a sign that said they werent serving coffee but luckily I came in time for the machine to be back up and running!
I ordered the Waffle We Do Now and my friend ordered the Bagel Delight. She had tea and I had an Iced Skinny Latte. For a guilt free waffle, I have to admit that its pretty damn good! The ice cream was amazing as well! And the berry compote was made from stevia!! So its super guilt free for us (trying to) dieters! The Bagel Delight was great too and it was so good I ended up switching my dish! Didnt realise I was in such a savoury mood
The coffee and tea was so-so. Nothing really to shout about.
The service was adequate too but the hygiene of the cups for the water was kinda gross bc we saw lipstick stains on it. Uhhh…
The food was good! The only down side was just the lack of a few dishes and them still putting it on the menu :/
A cafe that is slightly dated in all respects – design and menu selection. The coffee and food was done to a respectable standard. Lacking in creativity, but generous in serving and hearty in old school flavours. Not blown away, but not disappointed either. Mostly brought upon nostalgia if anything!
New favourite vegan brunch destination The gluten-free, animal product-free waffles are bomb. They’re nice and soft and not gummy like lots of other vegan waffles tend to be. But even better is that they’re fruit compote topping is sweetened with Stevia! Never have I seen Stevia mentioned on a restaurant menu until Leroy. So impressed by this. Their vegan ice cream is free of added sugars as well, and sweetened with dates, but you’d never know it. Also tried the corn fritters, which feature a delicious Stevia-sweetened tomato relish. Coffee is really nice, although it took a long time to come out (arrived after food did although they were ordered together). Despite service being a bit slow, staff were really nice, retro vibe is super charming and menu is a huge pull. Already planning my next trip to SK to visit again.
