Good coffee, friendly staff. I still need to come here to share a charcuterie platter with a glass of wine before a movie but the concept is wonderful. I think it’s the addition to the Astor that it needed to elevate it slightly.
Stopped by for a quick Sunday morning takeaway coffee. I was served by a really lovely girl who chatted to me about the pies and pastries on offer (I will definitely be back in to try the duck and mandarin pie!). The service was quick, they accept eftpos (yay!) and the coffee was decent too.
This is a little gem away from the busy areas of chapel street. The opulent interior with gold and brass detailing is warm and inviting. I went for a quick lunch ordering the French style ham and cheese Croque Monsieur. It came with a side salad and tomato relish which was delicious. I also ordered a chai tea with soy and honey and the pot filled up 3 1/2 cups. Service was very friendly! Great before a showing at the Astor. I believe this is a bar during the later hours and am definitely keen to come for a drink another time. Nice for a casual coffee or date night drinks!
