Love the snakepit. Great cocktails. Friendly bar staff. Place goes off when music is live. Don’t go there necessarily to eat. It’s really a bar with music or Dj

As a local that has always bypassed this bar, I now understand why it’s generally empty while The George next door is heaving.

The bartender was friendly and attentive, however the attitude of what I took to be management or the owners left a lot to be desired. She belittled the bartender in front of us for putting ice in a glass before the spirit (a non-issue as far as we were concerned), and watched him like a hawk as he poured the beers.

As we drank outside, two men (again, one of whom I took to be an owner or management) lingered in the doorway to the bar, giving the vague impression of ogling passing women and providing the whole place with a less than welcoming vibe. Selection of spirits was good, but given the experience, I’ll be frequenting other bars in the future.

May as well shut the place now… expensive ($50 cheapest Pinot) drinks and no menus for food. Read from the distant wall! Pizzas pretty much it. Such a fall from grace 🙁

Great for rock n roll tragics!! Start afternoon at Cherry Bar. Quick pizza and happy hour at Banff. Then dance your legs off at the George to 60s & 70s music. Great way to finish up a weekend !!
