I had a beer here this afternoon. It was a hip little bar, and I sat inside out of the heat.
The service was alright, but when I asked for a beer the waitress offered me a new beer and I asked her where it was from or where’s it made and she ha no idea. Mmnn ok haha
It wasn’t too good and I brought a pint for $13 wow! Locally my pints cost $5 on certain days and that’s craft beer!
Overall it was relaxing and cool sitting under the air con haha
If your in St Kilda looking for a reasonable place for a drink then this place was alright.
One of the waitresses kindly turned the lights up inside as I was reading which was really thoughtful.
The Nelson is a cosy little bar in St. Kilda who specialise in rum based drinks. It’s perfect place to meet friends. The staff and owner are so friendly and welcoming. We popped in after an early dinner and sat down to sample a few cocktails. I tried the Zombie which came out to the table lit…
Excellent service, excellent cocktails, good selection on tap beer for the other half. Food was great for drinking. Great local bar that doesn’t have the attitude of some of the other places in St Kilda
Great little spot tucked away from the main drag of Acland Street. On trend eclectic decor, but not so much that you feel uncomfortable. Tucked in one of the inside corners, we had the steak with butter mushroom sauce, jerk chicken salad, and mango slaw. Portion sizes were generous, and the food flavourful and well cooked. According to my partner, the salted caramel old fashioned was a winner. After an enjoyable lazy lunch, The Nelson is set to become a regular haunt.

Service is the best in the area, with a beautiful unique edge.
Small but funky … Food is great but it’s the service that makes this place a MUST.
Get down and visit, you won’t be disappointed …..
