Absolutely disgusted with Ball Court Hotel and service. A group of ten arrived for dinner. Last of our group to arrive at 6.00 pm ordered a steak and finished her meal before entrees to other diners arrived. That in itself is not acceptable.
Our main was served after waiting nearly two hours and watching other diners who arrived well after us eating and completing their meal while we waited. My main of penne pasta was served cold and not even cooked. How any chef can not cook a pasta meal is beyond comprehension. This was then 8.00 pm by then.
While waiting for others to complete their meals we waited for our deserts. Two and a half hours later at 8.30 while staff were cleaning up to close for the night we still had not received our deserts which were ordered at 6.00 pm
On leaving we advised staff we had not even received our deserts as yet and all that was offered is an apology despite the fact we had paid for the meals.
I can assure the management that every dinner group we know will be fully informed of this disgusting service and The Ball Court will be blacklisted on every occasion we can review. I have never seen or received such appalling service from anywhere in all my time as a dinner group convener for the Macedon Ranges Dinner Group so have had many experiences, all of which have been favourable in the Macedon Ranges and surrounding areas.

I was told that it was meant to taste like that and that and it needed time. The more ‘time’ I gave it, the more vinegary it became! The bar staff were very rude and non-accepting of this. They also gave a friend of mine who’d ordered mineral water the bottle and not the glass. Also, cheese plate that was ordered had cheese straight out of the fridge, not rested at all first.
