Father’s day lunch. We had basic meals and they were prepared well and served quite quickly.
However, we had to ask for more drinks and the plates were taken away very quickly without a word. We felt rushed out and not attended too.
As a regular dinner i am use to being asked if I am finished with my plate. Also it would improve your bottomline to have waiting staff check back on the tables to give dinners a chance to order more food or drink. Do not have to ask people if want something more. Just check in with them and have an appropriate brief conversation. Examples. Everythink ok? Your first time here? Simple opening comments to enhance the dinning experience and promote sales in the dinning room. Not just concentrate on cleaning up and getting people out the door.
Depretros (names not even worth correcting) tastes as bad as it looks.
The night started with a 20 minute wait for setup even though we had booked in advanced. After a exhausting wait, we were finally showed to our table.
Despite the lengthy wait, we remained hopeful for a pleasant evening. But a series of unfortunate events continued…
Drinks took over 40 minutes.
We ordered 2 bruschetta entrees and received 2 different dishes. One was a fresh bruschetta pizza (it was okay) and the other was a burnt cooked pizza with chunky pieces of tomato and red onion (was not okay)
Still didn’t want to hold this against them so we continued to order our mains.
I ordered a large VEGETARIAN mushroom pizza. It was pleasant but halfway through found a huge chunk of chicken in it.
When I (the vegetarian) complained about the chicken in my pizza, there were no apologies, only an offer of a free coffee which I never got because they were out of milk.
To add to the misery, one pizza had 3rd degree burns
Discounting the bad food, the waitresses were friendly.
I blame the bad experience on the management.
I addressed getting my $17.50 refund on the pizza again and the manager/boss kicked up a stink even though my table was still paying over $500.
If you ever find yourself in Sunbury Plaza… just go Nandos.
Hopeless, waited in the foyer for 20 minutes ended up going outside and ringing them to place an order. Told 20 minutes wait. After standing around like an invisible person watching the staff scramble around for 30 minutes I think the owner or someone with some nouse started asking what people were waiting for, my meal had been sitting there
Was sticking to my default order by ordering a parma here for lunch. Wasn’t expecting too much but when it came out it looked very good. I took a cut out of it and the chicken was nice and thick. Usaually I see thin chicken pieces but this was decent. The crumb was very crisp and tasty. Chips were one of the better ones I’ve had too- nice thick cut and not overly salted.
Nice place, plenty of space and if you get the right table, a good view of the park as the floor level is raised.
Look forward to returning for another parma!

I ordered a pizza for pickup, and when I picked it up I was charged more than the online menu price. When I mentioned it to the person at the register she refunded the difference explaining that I’d been charged the in house price.
When I went to eat the pizza, it was so badly cut that trying to separate the pieces ripped them. This was because the bottom 0.5mm of the pizza was cooked, and the cheese was melted, but the rest of the pizza base was raw dough.
This’s the 4th time I’ve been to Depetro’s, and the most disappointing yet
Standard Italian fare – average – not amazing. The service could be quicker and friendlier – and the kids play area exists but is dilapidated.
Very kind waitresses, and we got the food quickly after ordering. However, the cannelloni I ordered was pretty ordinary. The ricotta cheese was grainy and the tomato sauce watery. It made me think that the dish had been taken out from the freezer and just heated up.
