  Last night we decided to order some Indian for dinner. I have moved back into the area and have always loved the food at Flag of India. I called at 6.06pm and placed my order, I was told that it will be delivered within the hour. Being a Saturday night, that’s understandable. It got to 7.45pm and called to ask what the delay was and we were approaching the 2 hour mark. The girl who answered the phone put me on to someone more senior and explained that they were having a busy night and it was out of their control. I explained that I understand that things happen but you had my number why wouldn’t you send a text or call explaining of the delay, not just keeping your customers waiting. I had to point out that they hadn’t apologised to me for the delay to actually get an apology. She went on to tell me that our food left the shop 15 minutes ago. Which means COLD FOOD.
  The food arrived at 7.55pm nearly 2 hours after ordering. We didn’t get what we ordered, so I had to make another phone call. I was put onto the Manager, he was very rude. He said that he can bring me the left behind items but I would have to wait. I said I would like my money back and he said well I get someone to bring you that. He apologised for the delay and understands I have had a terrible experience. I asked why did you take my number if you weren’t going to communicate with me he said we only take it for emergencies. I would think having to wait two hours for food may have such an emergency. He then carried on and he I apologised and offered you the food or your money back I don’t know what you want from me. Needless to say I wasn’t impressed with his attitude and hung up after saying a few choice words.
  We sat down to eat our food and it was cold. I have no idea how long they leave it sitting there but it wasn’t good. It was the worst Indian I’ve ever had in my life.
  Not long after that I received a text message from them apologising for my experience. It’s a little too late if you ask me.

  I will never ever go back there again.

  Very bad. Ordered a a couple of vegetarian dishes as my partner is a vegetarian. They were very flavourless, basically taste like nothing. The naan we ordered may as well have been toast. Won’t be coming back.

  Ordered the take away special with 3 curries, rice, naan and riata. The curries were great along with the riata. There’s not a lot of meat in the curries but the flavours were there. Rogan josh was definitely the highlight.

  Best Indian food for miles. The owner and staff are so welcoming. The food is delicious and well priced. Try the banquet but make sure you bring an appetite!

  Butter chicken tasted like canned tomato soup, roti was cold and tasted like cardboard coconut rice was just rice with shaved coconut on top overall a terrible meal wouldn’t go back.

  I have not had anything short of exceptional quality Authentic food on the many occasions that i have eaten from here over many years. This is truly mouth watering, Full flavored and Authentic Hindustani food at its finest!

  we ordered take away food It was the worst Indian food i have ever had and the portion size was pathetic I would not recommend this restaurant to any body
