  • Distinctively Delicious Food Finder.

Came in for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The service was great. The waiter was friendly, prompt and knowledgeable.
We order garlic bread- was delicious, the tandoori stack was amazing- very tasty, parma with chips and veggies (parma excellent) veggies were probably the best vegies we have tasted at any bistro.
Chocolate lava cake with berries amazing also.
    Wine selection- great!
OVERALL LOVED IT! couldnt fault anything!
    well done. 🙂
    we will be back!

Food was ok – ribs wings and pork belly, very rich sauces and couldn’t finish I’d suggest sharing. Christian was customer obsessed, great service.

I came to the Olive Tree in Sunbury for a meal to end the weekend. Parked in the rear carpark and followed signs to through the beer garden to head to the bistro. Got inside and was told we had to walk around (past all the signs pointing this way)…. Short wait to be seated, and the ataff was very friendly. The main waiter was very polite, by apologising for the interruption when asking if we waned drinks and again when we ordered dinner.

The menu had a great selection of food. I eyeballed a meal being taken to another group and had to ask what it was.

I also saw the Salt and Petter Calamari and Prawn dish being taken to a table and decided to go with that.

Just when I was preparing for the usual 10-15 minute wait, my meal arrived. it looked fresh and tasty… and it was indeed.

The calamari and prawns had the lightest bater which wasnt overwhelming like it usually is.

Chips were thick cut and crisp. The salad was also fresh and nicely dressed.

Very nice place, freindly staff, fast service and great food. hard to find a place with all of these.
    I look forward to returning.

Recently had dinner at the olive tree with a group of 15 people and needless to say the food was very very average, 2 of my friends ordered the same dish and one of them sent it back due to the chicken being undercooked, whilst the other one got questioned by 3 different waiters throughout the evening asking if the chicken was cooked correctly, which in turn made him very paranoid about the meal, i myself had a paper thin chicken schnitzel accompanied by a beer that i had to go through the hassle of getting cash out to pay for due to the bar not having an eftpos machine, its 2017! Oh yeah and they don’t split bills.

Went to the Olive Tree Hotel tonight for my birthday dinner. Disappointed beyond words heard of the saying three strikes and you’re out well they’ve done it. First strike was finding metal is my sons bolognese a few months back from a metal sponge. Under cooked and raw food the second time. This time we ordered four of our usual chicken stir fry 3 out of the four looked totally different to each other, vegetables were as cold as a fridge and there was that much chilli in them that it was inedible, this was there last chance, never ever going back again!
I used to love this place but it’s really gone down hill
Bad food, bad service, overpriced, overall bad experience.

I can’t say that eating in this bistro is anything special at all. The meals are barely average and definitely way overpriced for what you’re getting. Do not recommend.

Parmas were not to bad but the service was fairly ordinary they forgot about the $1 keno ticket that we were supposed to get with our meals nearly out the door and also forgot the drinks order at one point would probably not rush back there .
