We went to the Olive Tree last night. It took quite a while for our orders to be taken. We then waited and waited for our meals to arrive – only to be served meals with chips that were almost cold. The grilled fish was nice as were the parmigiana. It was not very busy and you could see that other diners were tired of waiting for their meals. Not sure what went wrong last night previous visits have been enjoyable. Still very disappointing – months after our previous visit Total mix up 2 meals came out – one hot – the other cold. Sent back came out hot- I was still waiting for my food. Ordered 3 sticky date puddings with cream – 2 came out – both finished before the 3rd dessert came out – and artificial cream !!!!! The staff was the only good point of the night and could not have been more apologetic.
We revisited the Olive Tree last night. It would appear that the negative comments have been taken on board. The Seniors meals were nice and there was real cream with the dessert- service was also good.
