Mixed HSP. Had a small which turned out to be a good bet as it was a feast for lunch in itself. Chips as the base were fresh and well cooked, perfect amount of cheese to bind them with the abundant serve of shaved chicken and lamb. Topped with garlic and BBQ sauce it was a delicious medley of flavour, and despite its size and my expectations, was not a ‘heavy’ meal, just delightfully filling. Service from the girl at the counter was very friendly. Ashamed i’ve walked past here so many times without trying one, in favour of the processed alternatives, i’m already looking for my next excuse to go back to JB hi-fi next door!

Typical mall kebab. I really wanted a pide for a quick cheap snack after work at Sunshine Hospital. The guy in front of me bought the last one, and it was only 3:30, but they weren’t making any more that day. Against my waistline’s wishes, I second-choiced a kebab, chips and a can $12.50.) The lamb kebab was one of those uniform-textured spit-loafs, where the meat cuts like it was made of plastic. I’m over those. So I went with the chicken. It doesn’t look as sausage-y. It was average. Not grill-charred and spicy like an Afghan chicken kebab in Dandenong, but it’s a food court, so I didn’t expect much. The counter girl was sweet and cooked up a fresh cup of hot chips for me instead of making me wait until the next day. I’ve had worse. But if I was going to eat here again, I’d try Sunshine Charcoal Chicken just up the food court. They’ve got a great rep for being unique for a market stall with their Spanish chicken.
