I love this Foodstar – shits all over the Knox one. If you go when they open for lunch or dinner the food is all fresh & I havent ate anything I havent liked. They also have an amazing range for vegetarians.
Came here many times in the past because family and relatives wanted to come and eat here. This is cheap buffet, come here if you want to eat a lot but don’t want to spend too much. Most of the food is oily, greasy, not good quality. You must pay first before you can go in. Good for family dinner that doesn’t hurt the budget. Plus they are not rushy and don’t care how long you stay for.
For the price you’re paying, I think it’s quite good. Don’t expect it to be some fancy buffet because it’s not. It’s simple basic food. Most of the dishes are kept warm and quite fresh. I tend to steer away from the cold dishes because I’m not sure how long they have kept it. Kids love this place though! It’s right up their alley
My fiance and I dropped into Brimbank Plaza to have some slacks altered and were a little peckish, so visited the food court. However, when a kebab lunch pack cost more than $15 each I suggestted we head to you know where for those who know me well – a buffet restaurant hahaha… If we keep doing this we will both end up looking like the side of a house hehe.
Anyway, travelled about 15 minutes from Brimbank to Sunshine Food Star, which offered a wide selection of entres, mains and desserts for $18.50 per head (lunch price). As you can see from the photos, I took small samples from many of the different foods on offer. I must admit that while I have heard Food Star get a bad rap from time to time, all of the food I ate was well cooked, tasty and not dry – which I couldn’t say for Food Star Reservoir when we last ate there. I just loved the beef pie (which I hadn’t seen here before), with a beautiful crispy puff pastry topping and melt in your mouth beef, and the fish dishes, noodles and honey and lemon chicken. With sushi, salads, a tender beef and pork carvery, chicken and corn, mushroom and pumpkin soups, a wide range of Asian (particularly Chinese) cuisine, we were so glad we took the time to travel here. But dinner will certainly be light tonight haha. Perhaps I won’t even eat tomorrow!?#?
Came here after 7 years to reminisce my childhood. Food was just the same, average, bland and very oily. For the same price, you can probably get a decent meal about everywhere else.
Food seemed like it was sitting a while was cold and not much varieties available. Dont think ill be back again it has gone down hill not worth going to
Average food that was cold and scary. Terrible inside and a funky outside. I think I’m going to vomit and spend the night in toilet. Yucky some kid just stuck his hand in the seafood. I’m never coming here again it’s stinky crap and will make you sick . Garbage bin house
