*DISCLAIMER: I totally forgot to take photos until after my family started eating the dishes!!!!!!! I added them anyway for readers to get an idea of the dishes, but please keep this in mind when viewing*. Now that thats out in the open, lets get on with this review.
E: Heres the context. Were a huge asian family looking for a cost effective, delicious asian cuisine, at a quiet ambience to be able to chat and catch up.
Phu Vinh ticked every box;
-Cheap
-Vietnamese cuisine
-Authentic, delicious quality of food
-Quiet restaurant
If youre looking at these variables as a way to tick your boxes too, this is the place to go. The meals were delicious, authentic and were quick to arrive at our table. With standard ambience and minimal service, this is definitely not the best restaurant around Melbourne for Vietnamese cuisine… however I have nothing to complain about considering the absolute VALUE of these dishes. Definitely a good place to come if youre looking for a quick Vietnamese Fix at a super super cost effective price.

I came here to takeaway vegetarian Bun Bo Hue.
It was a waste of money.
I waited 40mins for my food when the restaurant was so empty and i was THE ONLY customer there.
Taste Horrible: was so sour and salty like they have put a whole bag of salt in there.

Friday night dinner. Super impressed with Phu Vinh. Generous serves with fresh ingredients. Soups were great. Beef with Black Bean Sauce on Rice was full of fresh vegetables and had a nice light sauce. Will definitely come back. They also home deliver for $5.
I do come here for the Hu tieu now since Tra Vinh in footscray has seen change in management and now shit.

Gf had the congee with the chicken coleslaw (no good the congee doesn’t have the oily brothy chicken taste.
Extremely disappointed with the food, I ordered the diced beef, lemon grass chicken and tomato rice. The chicken cuts were all off cuts, it tasted like old off chicken I had to spit it out, the sauce was also really watery. The diced beef was extremely chewy, the tomato rice tasted just like plain rice with some coloring. We had one mouthful and threw the rest out, it was a waste of money. I strongly suggest for the owners to check the food before sending it out.
Ordereddelivery here about a month ago for the first time, been back twice since. So tasty, very big servings, mouth watering actually. Arrived EXACTLY on time with bonus stuff (springs rolls/crackers), The delivery driver is super friendly. Average pricing which is good, SUPER BIG PRAWNS, juicy and yummy, has a unique taste which is addictive. Rice is cooked PERFECT. Treat yourself to this place, you wont be disappointed HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Definitely should avoid! I used to come here quite a lot until i ordered the beef vinegar hotpot. The portion is ridiculous small. We was given only 10 rice paper while the beef is also very little. Every single time i ordered the beef portion is getting smaller and smaller. It’s so little that my family havent even full yet. As a customer, I recommend you guys to try other places because I definitely won’t come back to this place.
