I used to live around the corner from here. This isn’t the best fish’n chip shop around, but it’s a good and cheap feed which will keep you coming back. The owners are lovely and always remember my name and order even though I only visit maybe twice a year now, and always throw extra in even when I’ve asked them not to 😛
Friendly older couple operate this family business. It’s amazing value in a traditional and low-tech shop.
The home-made burgers are excellent and the chips/potato cakes are always spot-on. The flake is huge and oily so only buy one between 2 as you can’t finish it!
Traditional fish and chips at its absolute best! Order 2 potato cakes get home open the bag and find 6 – the owners are lovely and generous to say the least. Best flakes and burger with the lot I’ve had since I was a kid. Highly recommend.
