Probably the worst bun Bo hue I’ve had in my life. The broth usually is the star of the dish but for this dish, everything was flat. The meat tasted like it was processed. My boyfriend ordered banh canh cua (crab noodle soup). When the food was brought out, we instantly knew it wasn’t the right dish because being Vietnamese, we know what this dish should look like. So we told the waitress this isn’t the crab one. She gave us attitude and said it was. As the name suggests, CRAB noodle soup. WHERE WAS THE CRAB?! The dish was filled with pork. Worst restaurant I’ve been to by far.

Cleanliness is definitely an issue here. Grains of rice on the seats, and dirty cutlery greeted us when we sat down. However, if you can look past that, you will be rewarded with a cheap and filling meal.
The beef casserole with French bread was incredibly hearty and flavourful. The crusty bread was indispensable to soaked up the delicious sauce, and the meat was super tender and juicy.
The scotch fillet with tomato fried rice was less stellar as the fried rice was a bit wet, but overall tasty nonetheless.
I really enjoyed the addition of crushed peanuts to the 3 colours drink, giving the drink an added element of crunch and a subtle saltiness.
Service is cheerful and quick. Great for a fuss-free and no-frills meal.
We’ve been regulars since discovering this local eatery a few months ago. With plenty on the menu, we still have lots to try but our favourites is the scallop fried rice with salted egg and crispy skin chicken with thuan an sauce.
Their prompt and fast service is always consistent and with the place recently renovated, the atmosphere is more welcoming. The dishes here are good for 2 as they come in a big serving with plenty of ingredients tossed in.
ordered the tomato rice & crispy skin chicken, the chicken was really good. the tomato rice lacked a bit of the tomato taste but my brother mentioned it was much better the last time he went. still had a very good char flavour
vietnamese ice coffee was good, old school drip style
Lizzies first impression: My go to authentic Vietnamese restaurant I love going back to in Sunshine. The menu offers an abundance of Vietnamese dishes and theyre always so consistent.
Lizzie enjoyed: I love the banh canh cua here which is a soupy dish with crab. It tastes fresh and the noodles are cooked perfectly everytime. The avocado smoothie was fresh and tasted very yummy.
Lizzie did not enjoy: their Bun bo hue was a little let down as it wasnt as tasty as Ive tasted before. The noodles were a little soft.
Lizzie rates overall: a great humble restaurant – they just renovated it to a more modern look which unfortunately takes away from the authenticity of a Viet restaurant but nonetheless the quality of the food hasnt changed.
