Disappointed with chicken bought 16/01/18 1230 afternoon from this shop. It was tasteless, did not look like a charcoal cooked chicken, did not have that special aroma. Its like an oven baked chicken. Taste like it was pre-cooked then put on spit. Could have bought chicken from nearby Woolworths supermarket for $8. My family did not eat it because it was not the type of charcoal roasted chicken they expected. Due to distance and petrol cost, I could have returned the chicken for a refund. I was being ripped off. Bad experience. Next time it happen to me I’ll throw it back. Need proper training how to cook charcoal chickens. I want to ensure this review goes direct to the Charcoal Chicken in Watervale Shopping Centre, Taylors Rd, Taylors Hill, Vic
Delicious, juicy chicken with very tasty seasoning. Average chips. My go to place for a roast chicken. Defiantly worth the few extra bucks to buy a roast chicken from here rather than the dry, bland woolies ones.
Staff aren’t very friendly and I’ve quite often seen them smoke outside and go in and serve without washing their hands. Chicken is usually quite dry and over cooked. Chips are ok but nothing to brag about. The chicken roll was the driest I’ve ever had and the schnitzel was too well done.
Attended this venue to eat in. Had chicken, chips and salad around 8.30pm, Friday.
Chicken was delicious however the chips were not very pleasant. It seemed as though the chips had been fried again. 🙁 Seafood was OK.
Service was very poor. No acknowledgement, had to ask for plate and cutlery.
