been to melissas heaps of times but they seemed to have changed their menu?
i came about a month ago with some friends only to find out they changed their menu… i was quite annoyed that the menu does not state any gluten free options anymore!? how am i supposed to know what to eat? i had to ask the waitress what gluten free options there were and she had to go check (not only annoying for me, but for her having to go and check) she came back and was able to tell me, but it was very quick.. hard for me to decide…
i settled for the kokinisti kota risotto which is a chicken risotto and it tasted good, i did enjoy it and the plate portion was big! not sure if i would go back to Melissas for dinner again since i dont know what i can eat.. its annoying! but i will go back for the coffee!

Disappointing ‘Mass-Produced’ Cakes.
I heard all about this popular place but was so disappointed with the cake l ordered. lt was obviously a mass produced cake (not made on premises etc) lt had fake white ‘air’ cream and was just so wrong and not balanced.
l think l simply ordered wrongly. Next time l should stick to the Greek desserts as it is a Greek restaurant after all! The food actually looked good though so l think l l will order from the menu next time (the lamb meal looked really moist). Service was good, swift and attentive.
nb. it’s a bit cold in the restaurant becase if the glass so don’t sit near a window.
My partner and I came here for a quick snack, we ordered the garlic bread and a vegan cake. The garlic bread was very crunchy but some bits we couldnt eat cause it was burnt. The vegan cake was mediocre, worth coming back to try different dishes since we are locals in the area. The staff seemed to be undertrained as they were unsure of what to recommend.
