Si Cafe is located on James Street in Templestowe. After a recent renovation we were invited to check out the menu. It’s a lovely spacious cafe with some attractive wall art & an obvious favourite with the locals. We started with hot chocolate & mandatory marshmallow & tea which was presented well including a little tissue rose. On a chilly day, I had to try the shakshuka. It was an impressive one too, plenty of sauce, chilli & flavour with a generous serve of dukkah spiced Turkish bread for dipping. The Buddha bowl was filled with goodness, plenty of flavour & variety of ingredients with a tahini dressing. We finished with the berry hotcake which was presented beautifully & served with berry compote & mascarpone on the side. Absolutely delicious & a must try if you visit. Tony & the team at Si Cafe were extremely warm & welcoming and made our visit a memorable one. Thanks so much for having us in.
