I ordered Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan and Saffron Rice. It was terrible,I’m not going there again. I don’t know why people open up restaurants if they can’t provide quality food. I probably would have found better food in a local rubbish bin.
those who has visited this place will never ever go again i know for sure. writing this review for the people who want to try new restaurants DONT GO THERE even first time, absolute waste of money. i ordered lamb rogan josh and got some meat balls in a curry liquid yes LIQUID…. it wasn’t curry
Tasty food. Staff served well. Quiet place may be of negative ratings. But food is good. Must give a try. Typical desi look. Diffinately visit again.
Quality has been compromised!!!. I have been a customer and Chawla for a while now and hadn’t gotten takeaway from them in about 6 months. Their food used be very authentic and one of my favourites. I just don’t understand why their standards have taken a dive. I got some garlic naan and 2 mains 2 days ago. SO DISAPPOINTED!!! I had ordered for 2 different dishes and they had the same gravy base and tasted disgusting. the naan was sooo hard that I almost dislocated my jaw. And not to mention that some of them were burnt. And it isn’t cheap either. so $40 for brick like naan and tasteless food decorated with chicken was not exactly a good bargain. AWFUL!!!! Not going there again….
Horrible food !!!. Worst Indian food ever ! Chawla’s used to be good year ago… not any more. We ordered for garlic naan and 2 dishes (panneer and chicken). It was horrible. They had used same curry/ sauce for both paneer and the chicken curry, even though we ordered for two different style dishes and then the naan bread was so dry and didnt have any garlic flavour on it. Not going there again.
I love it. I tried this place after one year n food n hospitality was amazing, I will recommending this restaurant best for families, try chef’s goat special nd paneer butter masala…..
Nearly food poisoning …. pathetic goat curry e. Guys never try chawla thomastown …..food is just worse ..not even enough pieces, chilli chicken was just having capsicum , four chicken pieces … both dishes were tasteless….
