time. Great coffee and exceptional staff. Oh and the cakes are just lovely.
Their coffees and cakes deserve a solid 4 (on a good day) but unfortunately they don’t get the same amount of stars for their customer service. The young lady that works there seems like it’s the last place she wants to be. How hard is it to smile when I ask for something that’s missing from my order – instead I get eyes rolled to the back of her head.
But if you’re not in there for a social chat and it’s take away, I highly recommend their home made ice cream flavours AND a slice of their chocolate mudcake. It’s so rich in flavour, it will not disappoint all the chocoholics out there. I’m yet to find one that’s as strong as this one.
Very homely cafe/cake shop in the ‘burbs. They make the most delicious cannoli ever! Breakfast is quite nice too. Another little cute perk is that they give you a little shortbread cookie with your coffee too!
SANTINAS CAKES – the BEST COFFEE, CAKES , WOOD FIRE PIZZA IN THE NORTH. I started to frequent Santinas Cakes a few years back now and thought I’d pay homage by writing a short review. One of the first things I noticed when I first visited Santinas was that the establishment was extremely hygienic and spotless throughout. I guess first impressions last and this was definitely the case with Santinas as they continue to live up to their reputation of providing excellent customer service and mouth watering goodies, which, even the harshest critic would agree are above par!
The amount of creativity, flair and passion for detail is amazing when it comes to the scrumptious display of home made and meticulously prepared sweets, biscotti and the recently added gelati bar boasts an awesome array of absolutely mouth watering and tantalising flavours. The lemon and vanilla are my personal favourites. Santinas even boast frozen Ice cream cakes which I find, make a great after dinner treat with friends and family after a bbq.
Santinas cakes also have a fully functional wood fire oven pizza which pumps out the best wood fire pizza I’ve had in a long time. The range of pizzas offered is generous as is the size of their pizza and again, it is obvious that passion and gusto is exercised when food is prepared their as the pizzas I’ve had are mouth watering. My personal favourite is the Dee Special!
Do yourself a favour, visit Santinas, whether it be for a coffee and slice of cake, a home made gelati or even purchasing amazing desserts to take along to a dinner party. A highly recommended local business which oozes with excellent customer service, a range of pastries, lunch time specials and desserts to die for.
Santinas for me is a 10 out of 10 establishment!
I ordered a kids cupcake and two slices of cake….both were nearly as hard as a rock especially the kids cupcake, the fork literally struggled to cut through it and I told management and their reply was- that’s our recipe for cupcakes and it’s not hard….well, needless to say we wont be going back!!!!
Best cake shop ever!!!. All cakes and biscuits made on site and now they do wood fire pizza and they make there own gelato. OMG lemon and watermelon and salted caramel mmmmm

Scoops were Santina from heaven on a hot day. Its a good thing for my waistline that I didnt have more money on me when I stopped at Santinas after an afternoon riding around the back streets and bush trails on the northern plains on a north-windy, 40+ degree day. I love gonzo weather rides. The cookies, cannolis and especially the fancy cakes looked great! I had to settle for a two scoop gelato cone ($5). I usually choose rich gelati in the chocolate range, but since it was so hot, I felt like fruit scoops. The watermelon and blood orange flavours were refreshing. Their substance wasnt as watery as sorbetto, but not milky like gelato. It worked well for my mouth. The blood orange flavour was almost as intense as high-end French ice cream. I want to come back here when Ive got more in my wallet. Because Santina’s also makes pizza in a wood-fired oven plus a lot of other Italian treats. They have a lot of bases covered.
