Incredible food and selection of cheeses. You can tell they cook everything fresh everyday. There is always a good selection of pastas, roast pork rolls and vegetable dishes. Awesome for an affordable breakfast/lunch. Would love to see them upgrade the eating area which looks a bit dated.

  • Crabapples For Lunch

We joined friends here for brunch/lunch. This place came well recommended for both the quality of their cheeses, as well as their dine in menu which features some of their cheeses.

The dine in menu was pretty decent, average priced for brunch style food, probably a place I’d consider visiting again if I lived close by but not tempting enough for me to travel to get to. Based on the dine in food alone I’d probably rate this 4 stars. However, the cheeses for sale (which is the main produce of the outlet) we felt were really mediocre. I don’t think we’re cheese connoisseurs but we do appreciate cheese, even pretty strong ones. Some of the hard cheeses we tasted had a really ‘squeaky’ texture and the flavours like truffle weren’t really prominent. Perhaps we just weren’t used to the specific cheeses by Amore but we actually prefer the ones at our local market and even some of the better ones sold in supermarkets.

Lastly, the cannoli we got was pretty good. The filling had a decent Nutella taste but also a clear ricotta flavour, which made it slightly thick and sticky to eat but that’s probably what they were going for.

I absolutely love this place, Ive been here many times as its near my bfs house. Thats Amore is part deli part cafe – serving an array of dishes all with a cheese element. Its all very simple but tasty food. My favourite is the Burrata , Potato Rosti, Smashed Avo (where its more of a paste). The burrata and avo together can be overwhelming as both are creamy with mild flavour, so the potato rosti really helps balance out the texture with that crunchy outer. The rosti has been executed perfectly every time I visit (I love my potatoes). My bf always orders the Slow Cooked Saffron Lamb – its hard to try new dishes when you have that one favourite! To top it off the coffee is amazing! I look forward to dropping by again soon.
