Long time user of the app but first time review writer. Came to check out this bar on the long weekend. The owner of the bar threatened to call the police on my friend simply because she asked what drinks were what that were placed on the bar. I came over to check up on my friend who had been at the bar for a very long time. The bar was clearly understaffed and was taking the stress out on the patrons. I would not recommend this bar. My friend had done nothing wrong and therefore was happy for them to call the police. She was not intoxicated. The bar did not call the police because had they’d done that, they would not have had a case to put forward. We simply left and will not come here again. I am writing this because we are a community which rely on reviews from real users to know which places we should visit and avoid.
We came here for some dinner and a beer after work during the week. The vegetarian options were a little scarce, though I was happy to order one of the options being a pita sandwich. This item had sold out so I was recommended a toasted sandwich instead, all of which were non vegetarian. I asked if I could have no ham on the sandwich as I am vegetarian and was assured that this was fine. Nevertheless, the sandwich came out with ham. So I wrapped it up and took it home for my dog and had dinner at home.
One of the best bars on high street! Great range of beers.. Outdoor area and atmosphere outside. Massive area’s for large groups. A sneaky Sample beer hits the spot!
This part of High Street is really taking off, this place has been around for about seven months and is well set out with tables on the footpath as well to enjoy the afternoon sun. Good selection of drinks and a range of basic bar snacks. We will be back.
By far one of the greatest spots, not just Thornbury, but in Melbourne. Great range of beers, cocktails, wine, whatever the heart desires. The food is a great spin on pub food, really tasty and fresh. Staff are insanely friendly and to top it off, a bowl of complimentary crisps with your drinks.
This place is really cool. Stumbled across this while waiting for a hair cut over the road at Lord of The North. Great vibe had a bruschetta and I must say it was awesome. A must place to go when in the area.
