A coeliac’s bread heaven.
They have muffins, croissants, cookies, slices, wraps, pies, bread rolls, hot cross buns, pancake mixes, English muffins, Olive bread, sourdough, mixed seed style bread, white bread and other things.
Fairly impressive bakery with a great range of breads, pastries, other sweet things. I don’t actually understand why there aren’t more GF bagels around Melbourne, when a) GF is often a bit dense and a bit hard; b) bagels by their nature are dense and a little hard. But whatever. This place does great GF bagels, as well as cookies and pastries. Fellow coeliacs/gluten-intolerants/fructose-intolerants etc, assemble here.
Amazing!! As a recently diagnosed coeliac this place has been a life saver! Had a vanilla slice from here and it was just lovely and I have also had a lemon tart from here and it is equally as brilliant. The frozen pies and pasties are full of flavour and so tasty. Now to mention the bread. I’ve tried both the wholegrain(??) Loaf and the white loaf. Both are beautifully soft and sooo much nicer in comparison to supermarket gf bread. I love this place
I have only just started eating a Gluten free diet but find the bread, rolls, pastries etc here fantastic! They are delicious and much higher quality than supermarket brands. Service was pleasant and will be visiting regularly!
A gluten free delight!. I was pretty excited to try this place out. It’s small & artisan & the staff knew what they were talking about. The loaves of bread, nicely presented, soft & fluffy & smelling delicious, looked & felt nothing like other GF & SF breads I’d tried. They have a good range of bread loaves plus delicious crumpets, rolls & some sweets which I didnt try. Everything has all ingredients listed too which makes it easier to navigate. Very impressed, very tastey 🙂 will be a regular now.
Now im not a GF person but visited by mistake yes its kind of awkward and nothing like a traditional shop
However i had the best and i mean the best danish escargot ever…
I cannot wait to accidently drop in again…
EXCEPTIONAL.
Produce is great but seriously wouldn’t hurt to crack a smile at the front counter…felt like I had walked into a place I wasn’t wanted.
