Cheap and delicious. We walk past this restaurant often and the smell makes me hungry! We ordered take away a number of times and it is now a family fave. The kids devour the butter chicken (not spicy at all) and weve discovered the goat rarra which has a nice kick to it. We have worked our way through some of the menu and are now fans of the palak paneer. Roti and naan are fresh and a great compliment to the meal. Im hungry writing this. Yum!
I’ve only ordered through take away uber eats. Everytime was delicious. I’d order again. I think it’s the best Indian in Thornbury. On a cold winter’s nights, some Indian food from here is lovely and comforting.
Ordered takeaway via Uber Eats. Had good food from here before – so not sure what has happened, perhaps they were busy.
The good
– Timely delivery
The not so good
– Pretty average food. Only ate 1/2 of one of the dishes. Prawn masala particularly average and the dal was poor.
The best Indian in town!
It’s a take-away joint mostly.
Ask them for their recommendations on the day.
Very friendly staff and super delicious food.
Must try: Butter chicken – Rogan Josh – Palak Paneer
It’s affordable and they have a decent amount of options. However, when we got delivery for the first time (only ever eaten in or gotten take away) it took well over two hours for the food to arrive.
They never contacted us to keep us informed and we had to call three times in the last hour for updates. They kept telling us the driver had left, however we are less than a 10 minute drive from the place and it took over an hour from that point.
Eventually they called and asked my boyfriend to come out the front but no one was there. He waited for ages outdoors. Eventually the driver called to *ask us the address* which we had provided about five times. I’d like to point out that our address is very easily accessible via google maps.
Overall it took 2 hours and 30 minutes to get two curries delivered two suburbs over. Also… to make it weirder, the person we were talking to on the phone (at the restaurant) the whole time was the one who ended up delivering the food…
No matter how good or bad food can be, the most important thing is for it to exist. Without existing it cannot be eaten. Without delivery it cannot exist. Never again!
We ordered through Uber Eats and the food was well packaged and fresh. The Shahi paneer was delicious and I could keep going for more. The lamb biryani and lamb Vindaloo was on point as well. Definitely bookmarking this place for indian next time.
This place doesnt match as per the description. The arrogant chef cum owner cant take the feedback positively. Suggestions are not welcomed at all. What ever shit food he serves, you need to take it and leave. As a customer I have a right to comment about the food I paid for. Be mindful, going to this place where your are welcomed only for your money and not for your taste. Chef doesnt care about your health n taste.
