This is a classic Aussie country Chinese that left me rather impressed. The sweet and sour pork was YUM! So neon! The fried rice was good, the chicken with cashew nuts was well cooked but night have benefited from a bit more garlic or sauce.Service was great, the lady that runs front of house was genuinely warm and chatty, really lovely person. Also – they were very happy for us to take home leftovers, and fed us really quickly as we requested.Would definitely stop again when passing through the area.
I came here last night with my family for dinner. We came to Traralgon a little late in the night and was finding it hard to find a good place to eat. At around 8 pm we walked in and was greeted by a lovely waitress who done an impressive job of entertaining us and helping us choose our meals. The menu was a bit crowded and hard to focus on individual meals but they had a large variety of Entrees, beef, chicken, pork, noodles and they even had a whole duck dish. My mother and niece thoroughly enjoyed there chicken sweet corn soup. It had plenty of ingredients and was well seasoned. My partner had the roast pork dish and enjoyed his as well. I settled for the mixed entree and was treated to a very tasty prawn toast spring roll. After a short wait our main dishes were served and we were surprised by the uncanny presentation and aroma of the sizzle plates that were served on a shovel, next was a large combination omelette with a hefty amount of different meat as well as a large serving of gravy. Lastly, the fried and steam rice. The fried rice was above average but still served a lot of ham and pork. The whole meal was an endeavoring experience and extremely filling. My partner (who takes a lot to feed) even agreed on the size of the portions. We were all to full to order desserts. In conclusion, the sizzle plates took the day with an amazing flavour paired with beautiful presentation. I highly recommend it if you are in Traralgon and looking for a nice dinner in a surprisingly quite restaurant.
My husband and I always bought our chinese from here, until Friday when I found a HAIR in my food which definitely wasn’t mine, I think it’s safe to say that we will not be returning customers!!
