What an amazing experience with exquisite food. Praise to the head chef and kitchen staff who prepared a delectable meal. From the entrée, mains and dessert. The winter menu is divine, please don’t change it.The ambience has always felt so comfortable, feels like home. The food itself incredible.  The pork belly was extremely well balanced, beetroot salad contained ample amounts of roasted vegetable with perfectly cooked chicken. The dessert!!! Impressive to the eye and tasted remarkable with the perfect amount of balance and volume. Thank you for such an amazing experience, your staff’s skills are invaluable.

Having read some of the other reviews before going to The Ritz, I was unsure. But my husband and I gave it a go for our anniversary dinner when I was in Traralgon for the week for work (normally a Melbournian).Wow. Firstly, the service was exceptional. We interacted with two waitresses and a chef. The two girls were both chatty, lovely, had great and informed suggestions when I asked for help in deciding between dishes, and actually made our meal better! Which is rare! Yes kitchen staff do run dishes to tables from time to time like other reviewers have said, but they were careful and lovely and that’s just what you have to do sometimes in a smallish business when there’s a busy patch. I’d much rather they did that then left our meals sitting on a counter waiting to be run to the table. The food itself was fantastic!! Best bruschetta we’ve ever had. My gnocchi was indeed handmade on-site as the waitress said. When I ordered it vegetarian (there was a beef ragout or veggie option) she asked if there were any veggies I didn’t like, because the kitchen add a whole lot to it when it’s done as a veggie dish. It was the best vegetarian customisation I’ve ever had – usually restaurants just serve something without the meat and don’t add anything back in. My husband’s risotto was also yummy and creamy, not bland (when so many risottos are).Dessert was fabulous. I had the best chocolate mousse I’ve had in ages. My husband had a special which was an ice-cream sandwich with home-made MnMs cookies on the outside.Worth noting that the specials for both dinner and dessert were exciting and different. So even if you came back many times and got sick of the fairly large menu, I’d imagine that the specials would give you many new options.Very highly recommended. I’m sad this place isn’t in Melbourne.
