I grew up in wangaratta and I loved coming here. the last 3 times I’ve been here I’ve received some of the worst service I’ve experienced anywhere. slow and small portions for the price
Tried out the vegan banquet. Some of the best Indian food I’ve had! Not disgustingly oily like some places. Really good flavours. The roti is great even without margarine (but would love to see them use coconut nuttelex or just vegetable oil for vegan roti! But really it didn’t even need anything)The cauliflower dish was our favourite.I’d love to see the vegan options on the regular menu clearly marked too, as we would love to come back and try more things (especially something with lots of mushrooms!) but luckily the staff are really helpful anyway so I’m happy to ask them :)Oh I’d also like to see them make coconut chutneys for dipping, they gave us non-vegan sauce with papadums when we sat down and accidentally gave it to us again with our entree, but then gave me a mango chutney when I pointed out the other one isn’t vegan. But yeah coconut chutneys would be even better, like the ones you get with dosa!
Great food, I was working in the area and cameAcross this place. Has most of the Indian restaurants in Melbourne well covered!! but unfortunately running what appeared to be short staffed meant a one hour wait between entree and main, food great maybe next time I’ll get take away though to save the wait as they were pumping out the take out orders but too slow to look after the people eating in.
Food was amazing, we ordered the biryani and a vegetable dish. Cooked and served beautifully. However, staff seemed disinterested, rarely smiled and was always busy
Just not real Indian food. I ordered take away Tandoori entrees for two from the menu, food was without salt and without the proper condiments, instead of lemon they put orange, the chutney was missing and the sauce were missing, when I called them that condiments are missing the girl on the phone bluntly asked me to pick it it up without apologising. Then I personally went and place order for the main course take way but I mentioned the time to call me so I can come and pick up, time passed away no one called me so I went and asked for my food she just went to kitchen and picked my food and when I asked how long this take away food is sitting in kitchen without informing me, she said the food is just prepared, I came to my room the food was cold. Pathetic,. I said to the girl I will be back again tomorrow, the answer I got from I her was anyway you are coming back, what does that me.an. I would say any one who knows Indian food never go back to restaurant like that who don’t care about the customers but just want business
