This is our 2nd visit, the Taiwanese braised pork on rice is flavorful and they added a lot of mushroom hence not too meaty and add to the flavor. At $7 with side salad and half a braised egg, what more to ask for!
Went on a Sunday during lunch time and while other places had queues, this place was so quiet. I know thats not a good sign but because it was new and the pricing seem to be cheap, so i thought its worth to try. Staff looked like she was bored standing at the till. Food took a while to come out eventhough we were the only one ordering. When the food came out, it looked big. We had the pirate ship which is like mix of battered seafoods and beef slices on top of chips. It looked good but then it was rather bland and boring. The beef tasted almost like it was not marinated at all. I had this braised pork on rice which was huge portion but they werent even warm when it came. The braised pork wasnt bad, tasted like a home cooking which isnt a bad thing but it was a bit oily. I guess for $7 meal, that braised pork was not a bad deal. However, you can tell how much potential this place have. Yet, they did not do their best and so even with cheap pricing, people wont buy from it if the food isnt good.
Called into Knox city for some shopping and into Cup & Cup for a Mango milk tea with pearls. Service was quite slow but when it arrived the tea itself was ok. I optioned it up to include pearls but was probably better without so would recommend just ordering as described on the menu. Cup & Cup does a lot more than bubble tea and have waffles and savoury food (mostly served in a cup).

A newly opened Taiwanese store selling hawker and boxed meals. Large quantity and value for money. This box was only $7. The Taiwanese braised pork is well seasoned and is mixed with sliced mushrooms. Downfall is the rice was overcooked and bland even with the braised sauce.
Can’t say much for service as there was a lack of enthusiasm that made it unwelcoming.
Definately coming back next time to try out the dessert though.
