Decided to have dinner here today, and came out absolutely full! You can never go wrong with the portions of food at thai restaurants honestly.
This restaurant actually had thai ice milk tea for mains, we ordered the braised beef curry and tom yum prawn soup with rice and roti bread.
The tom yum soup had both a sweet and sour taste! It was more sour than sweet, but still pleasant. The beef in the curry was tender and easy to chew, the curry sauce was to die for! Definitely had no issues with the meal.
However, did have a bit of an issue communicating with staff due to language barriers but they definitely tried to make customers as comfortable as possible! Good work guys 🙂
Its like someone has sucked the life out of the people working in here. The restaurant itself has a nice feel and there is a decent variety of dishes to choose from. My one complaint with the food is that they really skimped on the meat. 7 pieces of meat in a Pad Si Ew was disappointing. Not the best Thai food going around but also not the worst. Worth a try.
This place is a great choice for every occasion!
The staff are friendly and helpful and it has a great vibe to it. It has seating both inside and outside with heating so cold melbourne weather doesnt spoil your meal.
It is a great menu and the potion sizes are quite generous.
Have been here a number of times. On one occasion which was a cold rainy day went there with a group of friends and was looking for something warm to drink. My friend who had tried their hot thai milk tea asked if they still served it. It was discontinued but the waitress checked with her manager and said shell make it for us. It was just so yummy! Bring it back guys!
Another must try is the sweet chilli soft shell crab! Its Devine! Order it with either jasmine rice or fried rice of choice and you wont be disappointed.
The crab roles in the entree was delicious too.
Overall, its a pretty nice place with great food and service. Will definitely be back:)
Kinn Thai in Knox ozone. I did not expect to have such authentic Thai food restaurant in this area. Quite nice environment and I came in the lunch time with fewer customers. The staff was friendly and I order the Tom yum noodle soup with satay chicken skewers. Honestly I still had room to eat more after the whole meal. Size is a bit small for lunch special but soup tastes so good so sour and so freshly made Tom yum soup. Definitely will come back to try more Thai food.

Delicious Thai food in Wantirna thats a definite must to visit. Customer service is also good. The only improvement that I can suggest is probably improve on their proportion size – bigger proportion sizes would be great
We have always loved the food at Kinn Thai in Knox. We had the Pork Ribs / Panang Curry / Barramundi Curry / Cashew Nut Chicken / Crispy Fried Chicken. Washed it all down with a Thai Iced Milk Tea. Simply Yum!

SERVICE: 2.5/5
Overall the service was pretty regular. Good points were the wait time for food and drinks didn’t take very long. Main let down was trying to get their attention in a fairly empty restaurant – they were too busy having chats with one another. Even after we made our requests, they seem to have forgotten between their conversations. Room for improvement in this area!
FOOD: 3.5/5
Overall, the food was enjoyable. Serving sizes and prices were reasonable for Thai and I thought the food had good flavour. My friend thought it was a bit on the sweet side but I didn’t mind it particularly for Thai food. We ordered the prawn rolls and the red duck curry with lychees to share. The curry was nice and thick which is how I like it. Good amount of duck and great balance of veggies. Bonus was they kept refilling the rice as you needed which beats paying per bowl – yup, I love my rice!
Passionfruit mocktail was also refreshing!
DECOR & AMBIENCE: 3/5
Large open space with a casual feel.
Perfect for a dinner & movie kinda night or in our case, a long overdue catch-up over dinner where you can graze through your food in a relaxed environment.
KID FRIENDLY: Yes, plenty of space and comfortable place for a family meal.
