Crap Aussie-fied food-court-style Chinese food, but with friendly service. Even the owner admitted to me that it wasn’t real Chinese food, but they had to cater to all the locals. Reasonable prices, good service, not pretentious, but very average food. Definitely does not deserve the 93% rating it currently has! Go 6 minutes down the road for dinner in Glen Waverley where you’ll spend less and eat real Chinese food.
Good basic Aussie style Chinese food at a more than reasonable price. Try the banquet style offerings. Keep it up!
Overly Westernised Muck, Extremely Disappointed!!!!. If McDonalds sold Chinese food , this is what I think it would be like.
Excessive use of salt, corn flour and MSG.
If you enjoy authentic and tasty Chinese dishes, then look for somewhere else to go.
Some of the best Chinese food around. This is our local takeaway but our friends have had the pleasure of tasting it as well and they will drive from a few suburbs away now to buy this food instead of going to their local shop. We have been coming here for years and Amy always remembers our name. We have also dined in where the atmosphere and service is great however the decor is quite basic. That doesn’t detract from the meal at all. Occasionally (twice in 15 years) they have gone through some weird patches where the food wasn’t as good for some reason but they have always bounced back. So if you go there and experience this, don’t write them off. We’re blessed to have them so close.
Great food!. A lovely little Chinese restaurant with great food at a reasonable price. Owners Amy and Joe are locals who have been looking after loyal customers for years. Highly recommended.

A great local jewel. We went to Mini Dragon for a friends b’day, we were not dissapointed! Situated in a set of strip shops it is a hidden jewel!!! We had the banquet which was $27.90 pp. they looked after me with my food allergies and ensured we were all well attended to. The dim sims and spring rolls were to die for !!! I love a good dim sim so it’s often the litmus test! Lemon chicken was delicious- a dish that I am often bit find of as it’s usually sickly sweet and not very nice . They came to the table and served it to us with their delicious fried rice . After the chicken we had their scrumptious fillet steak to finish off with the prawn combination – omg the prawns were amazing !!!
Amy and her husband who run this place make sure everyone is looked after, and treated well. They have been serving our friends for over 15 years and she told us how she’d watched their kids grow up.
For dessert we chose from their list – fried ice cream which did not dissapoint!
We will be back – despite us living in healesville – this has quickly become a fave of ours!
