My fianc and I came here for a weeknight date. We love Indian food and typically order the same things at any Indian restaurant, but here, we decided to try something different. We ordered naan, rice, chicken jhalfrezi, and lamb saag. The dishes were delicious. We also had gulab jamun for a sweet ending. We loved both of our meals and thought everything- from service to food to price- was excellent. This place has great service and is a really great value for the price. We will definitely come again.
Whenever we are in the area we make a point of dropping in to pick up some gulab jamun. They are definitely homemade and the best ones we have had in Melbourne.
We spontaneously decided to come here on a Sunday night and were pleasantly surprised! I ordered the eggplant masala and it was fantastic, extremely generous serving and lots of eggplant yum!!! I also had a samosa and it was probably the best I’ve had, could tell they had been made with love!The restaurant itself was a bit run down and had little to no ambience, so probably wouldn’t eat in again. I would definitely order take away though because the quality of the food was just phenomenal. At first we felt that the staff serving us was a bit awkward, but were still extremely polite and attentive. I would definitely recommend giving their food a go, nothing fancy, just great quality food.
Let me start by saying food is above average. However, ambience is not good and service is pathetic. very unprofessional service we had to wait a long time for the food. From my observation, it seems it is mainly catering for home delivery and take away customers. Not very good for dining in. Plain Naan is good but the Keema Naan and masala Kulcha is average. will not be visiting again.
Such nice and friendly staff, really nice food as well. My partner and I wanted to order a lot of dishes and the waitress was kind enough to tell us it’s just too much for us two lol. Very honest, appreciate it instead of letting us order too much and taking our money
My wife and I have been coming here over the past 3 years and the food has always been excellent, prices are very good for what you get. I’d highly recommend giving them a try.
Good location, small joint and quite ordinary ambiance but satisfactory customer service. In my opinion it is a bit over priced as the quantity served and the basic taste of food could not match the prices offered in menu.
