I’m a sucker for special fried rice, so considering I live just down the road I figured I’d give it a shot! $10 for a large fried rice, and they were sooo generous with the portion, I’ll have enough for lunch and dinner tomorrow! Friendly staff, they said I could take a seat while I waited and they brought me a basket of prawn crackers. I thought that was really sweet of them.
Their chicken is to die for – not to sure how to translate into straight English but it is called kind of like poached chicken but flavoured. Definitely something to try as we ordered half a chicken and it was so good we ordered another whole one and this was between 4 people! Flavours overall were very mild which I like. I don’t like heavily salted or msg dishes I prefer it more mild where you can still taste the ingredients. Service was great as the head waiter always tried to make conversation and he was super funny!
The decor of this restaurant really reminds me of the typical modern Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong. The food is equally authentic and is generally quite consistent. We love the yoghurt egg white with fish roe, lamb shanks hot pot, and foie gras king prawn!
Amidst the search for the ultimate yum cha dining spot for the family, we have tried this place. It was sub par, service wasn’t too great and we left feeling unsatisfied. Needless to say, this will not be on our to revisit list.

Had the lobster banquet and it was average. Taste-wise it wasn’t bad but nothing stood out. Dcor is rather nice here. Staff try to be attentive but there was a young staff there that overdid it. He would hand bowls/cutlery/dishes to each person directly and never on the lazy Susan. That spirit is commendable but because I sat by a wall in a corner it was difficult for people to reach me and I would’ve preferred using the lazy Susan. My bag was also dirtied as a result of the young staff coming over and accidentally dripping things on to my bag as it was hard to maneuver to my corner wall spot. He apologized and handed me napkins but in this instance wet towels would’ve been a much better offer. It was an old bag so no matter. I do like his attitude and spirit but he could do with more flexibility.
Rubbish food and poor service. This is third time been to there today, my family are very dispointed with everything. Never come again!!!!!
Pretty good quality yum cha and plenty of choices. Good service and easy to find parking. Value for money $120 Scoopon voucher, but hard to get a weekend lunch booking. Overall, great place for yum Cha at Wantirna thanks to its new management.
