Cute little place with some extremely delicious desserts and a decent selection. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for, and in this case it’s rich and creamy or fluffy and light desserts. Got the chocolate mousse with hazelnuts and brownie base, and the salted caramel sponge cake before hopping on the train to Melbourne, and while the salted caramel sponge cake was good, it was nothing compared to the chocolate cake. Even the takeaway boxes are wrapped with a little ribbon around them. Very cute.
As always, just wow. These cakes never disappoint. Today Vegieface and I opted for a salted caramel sponge and a chocolate mousse brownie, which were simply amazing. The sponge was beautifully light and fluffy, yet still flavoursome and wonderfully sweet, but it was nothing compared to the brownie. The brownie was simply divine, quite possibly the best cake I’ve ever purchased from this fine venue. The brownie base was enough on it’s own; a perfect brownie, slightly crumbly, slightly chewy, scrupulously chocolatey. But then it was topped with a some kind of sweet walnut mixture that complemented it perfectly.This certainly would’ve been enough to satisfy the sweetest of tooth, but no, the final layer was a smooth and luscious chocolate mousse, topped with a glossy chocolate glaze.It was simply a breathtaking experience.
Very expensive for what you receive. Very poor decor. Will not go again. 2 very small coffees and scones far too expensive. Staff were friendly
