  We ordered through menu log and the food was disappointing. Im a huge fan of honey chicken so I ordered that. The chicken and the honey dip came seperately. Then chick was soggy and the honey dip was soo watery. I was soo disappointed because it was soo tasteless. It tasted like a sugary water. And the Chinese sausage was dosed with Peking duck sauce and for me it was too strong. The only thing I ate was the bag of prawn crackers

  Absolutely disgusting customer service. The rudest staff and policies I can ever remember coming across.

  Popped in with my partner last night for a light snack to unwind after the day. Ordered a couple of entree’s and a glass of wine. The waitress hovered over us the whole time while we were eating which was annoying and rude. Went to pay and told it’s a minimum of $15 order person so we need to order $12 more worth of food then pointed to fine print on the 2nd page of their menu down the bottom.

  We looked at the menu, decided we weren’t hungry for more, and then went to speak to them saying that had we have known their policy and had it been made clear that it should be written clearly on their front window or at the front desk or more importantly at the very front of the menu we wouldn’t have ordered.

  I said I would happily pay for what we ordered but not am not going to order and pay for more. Rather than apologise for the confusion and say that we know for next time as one would do for good customer service they became angry, told us they wouldn’t accept my payment unless I ordered and paid more money.

  I calmly told them again I would pay for what we ordered but no more. The head waitress rudely said we should have gone to McDonalds. They tried to claim they were losing money to which I said then they should adjust their pricing if this is the case and what we ordered and paid for is above their policy for one person so it makes no difference.

  We have eaten out all over Werribee and never seen such a policy. They continued their hard line to which I told them their policy was not legal if it is not clear upfront and I offered to call the police which I did. The police called the restaurant after which they said they would accept our payment for what we ordered. Completely dumbfounded as to their rudeness and ridiculous, nonsensical and unclear policy. Would have been fine had they sad that we know for next time but that didn’t happen. Won’t be going back. Food is OK but not outstanding. Have been there before and tends to be overly oily and salty.

  Don’t bother. Use to go to Red Pepper frequently. Went once to Golden Palace. Owner watched us like a hawk. Food was ordinary,and much smaller serves. Never again.
