Had the BBQ pork with plum sauce, the dish came out fast and was delicious. Had the Szechuan steak for main, also came out in record time (the restaurant was empty besides our table) and was incredibly tasty. Pricing is reasonable and appropriate to portions of food.
Ordered takeaway and it was ready within 10 minutes. The manager was very friendly and agreed to cater to our spicy taste buds. Finally found a nice Chinese restaurant in Werribee!
Master Wok provided for a delightful dining experience. First of all, the customer service was top notch, this may be due to myself sharing the same first language of the Chinese waiters and waitresses. This mutual understanding perhaps contributed to their friendly and advisable attitude towards me when asking about the specials and recommendations.
Food was served promptly and in a calm collected manner, no more than 5 minutes after it was ordered.
The food itself was good enough for Chinese standards, although one noticeable criticism was the spiciness of the szechuan chicken. Recognised internationally for its extreme spiciness, the extent of the chilli provided was most likely toned down to an almost sweet taste, probably to appeal to the mainstream Western mouths of Werribee.
Overall, it the atmosphere of Master Wok was very soothing and I am inclined to visit again in the future.
The food tasted okay but I do think the overall menu pricing was over priced. You would think for a $19.00 meal you would have the rice included yet you needed to pay an extra $8 for a small rice. I could eat at a Malaysian restaurant for half the price and better quality food.
This has been my family’s regular place for over a decade. They never fail to deliver on the quality of their food. Although not fine dining, you get great bang for your buck and the flavours are spot on. Service is their main let down – lots of times we’ve sat on the big round table closest to the kitchen, and some of the staff walk past barely realising we are wanting their attention.
I found this restaurant on delivery hero the day I worked near Kensington. I ordered some fried noodle and BBQ pork and roasted duck. The noodle was OK but the meat definitely tasted off, at least not fresh. I gave a few pieces of the duck to my daughter, and she ran diarrhea for 3 days and only last few days got better. I read all the good review so I ordered from them. Maybe they serve good food in the restaurant but deliver food not so fresh. I am really disappointed.
Good food. Good service. We’ve been dining in this resto for about 5 years now. Our fave is special fried rice, sliced beef with cashew and seasonal vege with prawn. Server apologized and rectified issue with raw beef by bringing new dish. We had a good fill last night after a long drive back from interstate. Family will definitely return.
