The dissapointment came after I was served with burnt ham and cheese croissant as you can see from the pic. It was hard, chewy, and tasted pretty bad.
The coffee was alright, could be creamier.
Service was good and quick, but I’m not in a rush to be back in the near future.
Ordered the fish and chips, what a joke… one piece of fish which was a piece of frozen fish from a packet!!! And a few chips which were over cooked and quarter of plate of salad which had to much red onion and 3 pots of sauce. This place has gone down hill big time. I have had fish and chips from here before and it definitely wasnt frozen fish.
Oh how The Coffee Pot has suffered such a sad demise. 6 years ago the Coffee Pot was a shining beacon of hope in the far west and was always my favourite. Returning here last week I was amazed at how things have changed. It took 1 hour and 10 minutes for our food to arrive (2 people) and other people around us who had ordered food 30 minutes afterwards were getting their food first.
When the food did eventually come out it was extremely disappointing and definitely not worth the wait.
The below meal was $18. $18 to much; cold and tasteless mushrooms, soggy and cold bread and not fresh at all.
The girls making coffee and handing out food were fantastic and it was evident how embarrassed they were with the conduct of the kitchen and chef even saying ‘I tell the chef to make the orders in order but he doesn’t listen’. There needs to be a serious review of this place by the owners or it will not survive with the increase in cafe competition in Werribee.
I hope that if I return in 6 years that The Coffee Pot has lifted it’s game.
