Lots of options
A range of dosas (thin paper pancakes),Dosa sets (thicker pancakes), uttapam (double the thickness with toppings), idli (round steamed rice and lentil dish), wada, Chinese Indian options (noodles and stir fry) and biryani
We wanted to try something different as Masala dosa and chicken or lamb biryanis are common
We had the combination dosa with a filling of paneer lamb chicken and potato
It came with a side of two chutneys and sambar
Delicious and very satisfying
The potatoes were well flavoured
We had the chicken 65 biryani
Very unique
Well cooked marinated chicken in a sweet and spicy sauce mingled with basmati rice served with yoghurt and chutney
Spent only 15 per person and we were very full
My score 4 stars. J & I had a late Saturday lunch at DH WF in early Aug. Quirky interior was interesting & looked comfortable & lived in. Ambience was good & the place was full of people always a good sign so far past the lunch rush. Staff were plentiful & friendly – we were seated & given a bottle of water (& paper cups) promptly. Never had dosas before, so didnt know what exactly to expect. Number of dishes available is huge, so menu is a bit overwhelming & not very descriptive (if it was it would be 10 pages long)! We had a Vego biryani & Chef’s special dosa. The dosa had 4 fillings (2 vego/2 meat) which blended into each other slightly & made it hard for J to avoid the meaty bits. It came with 3 dipping sauces – a red spicy one which was too vinegary IMO, a cooling creamy one (nice) & a veg curry/dal-like one (the best – J agreed). I liked the dish, but didnt think it was terribly filling maybe better to come mid-week & add their $1 dosa. The biryani was good & more filling than the dosa. From reading previous reviews, we probably should have tried the samosas too.
