My partner and I visited GeBeta last night and loved it. We ate the Alicha W’et and the Bozena Shiro with injera. I think the Bozena Shiro is now my favourite African dish. It was so flavoursome! The staff were very friendly and provided good service. I hope others try this place…it deserves to be filled with lots of people. We’ll definitely be back!

Tried this local place tonight as its a new addition to Barkly street. Id love to give them 5 stars as the service is friendly and efficient. But Ill have to settle for the 3. My rating being purely due to presentation, portion size and price.

The chicken drumstick dish was $15, although $15 sounds cheap its a little dear for one drumstick and one boiled egg.

The meat dish had two curries placed on either side of the container instead of two separate containers. It didnt make sense as they were two very completely different dishes and should definitely have their own containers

The curries were both leaking in to the take away bag and the rice that accompanies the dish was half filled!

Taste wise, both dishes did taste similar and a little on the salty side. I have had Ethiopian food hundreds of times so I am aware of what should taste as.

Unfortunately, until they fix up these issue regarding price, portion size and presentation, my rating will stand.

    The place has real potential!

Great new place in Wefo. Large servings and friendly service. Had the chicken and fish, both were great with heaps of injera. Will be coming back for the traditional coffee
