Hit and miss with their coffee!
The only thing that keeps me going back is the customer service . Apart from that, Ive never tried the meals there .
Our regular morning stop when walking to the Vic Market. The coffee is always consistently good. And the corn fritters topped with salsa and poached egg are always a winner. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the free fruit bowl is a fantastic idea.
Great little walk out of the city for this one. There’s no mystery to common ground. The do food, they do coffee. Went there with a few friends from out of town, good food. What more can you ask for when fighting off a hangover.

Stopped into Common Ground for a Sunday brunch with some friends.
I loved the menu, it took me the longest time to choose! Ended up panicking as everyone else was ready to order and chose the Fritters. They were really tasty and the poached egg was cooked to perfection. My friends ordered the egg and bacon bagel which also looked incredible.
The meals did take a while to come out, but when they did, they were brought out by 3 staff members to make sure we all got them at the same time! Was a really nice gesture.
The coffee was great and the staff were terrific. Without asking, a girl brought my son over some crayons and a picture to colour. The barista also hand drew my son an awesome batman picture which is now on his wall at home.
Loved Common Ground. Will be back again soon.
Some of strongest, jitters-inducing coffee in Melbourne here. Food was good, although it took 45 minutes to arrive in a fairly sparsely populated Cafe. I mark it down for that reason
Lovely venue situated just above the queen vic markets. Consistent coffee and food. Each time I’ve (Nic) come here it was very friendly service and prompt delivery of food and coffee.
