So many choices when looking for a vineyard in the King Valley Region. Gracebrook was recommended to me and I’m so glad we decided to stop by. An amazing horse stable conversion originally built in the 1880s. Stunning views of the surrounding vineyard and countryside are the perfect backdrop while sipping on a glass or two (photos don’t do it justice.) The menu here changes on a daily basis and after a wine tasting our group started with a delicious sharing platter which was huge!!! We also tried the pan fried Gnocchi with mushroom, prosciutto, kale, tomato and asparagus. A tasty meal indeed. My glass of Gracebrook Sangiovese preservative free wine accompanied my meal perfectly. The stable conversion is amazing, even including a kids play area and seating within the actual stables. The vineyard also comprises many farm animals, a sandpit, bocce court and plenty of space for the kids to run around. Service was very friendly and efficient and they checked up on us regularly. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the King Valley region.
We loved visiting Gracebrook, what a charming and welcoming place to visit. We spent a leisurely time wine tasting, visiting the animals on the property and then having lunch. The staff where so welcoming and even set up an extra heater at our table as we were drop ins that day – no booking. We loved the menu and the obviously well considered flavours on each plate, along with the knowledge that everything served was paddock to plate. Thank you for a lovely day!
Fantastic lunch experience. Fantastic food and service! We had the roast duck with grapefruit and fennel salad, and also the gnocchi with pork fennel sausage. Delicious and full of fresh flavours. Also received great advice on which wines matched best with the food. If you are in the King Valley region, we highly recommend making a visit. (Visited in colder weather, but the venue has multiple heaters so very comfortable)
Beautiful lunch and location. We visited Gracebrook on a freezing cold day but enjoyed the lovely fire and friendly service. All 4 dishes we tried were excellent, the sav blanc was fabulous and even the coffee was great! The renovated stables was a nice setting. We would highly recommend a visit.
