After my partner having recently developed an addiction to the ice cream here I thought it was only fitting I write a review. Together we have tried a few flavours over a number of occasions and each time the ice cream has been wonderful. I’d say it’s the best along nelson place and a cut above the larger ice cream shop close by. The prices are the same as anywhere else but the ice cream tastes home made and you can pick from unique but yummy flavours. You do not need to pay extra for a waffle cone either as this is the standard and included in the base price. I’ve not tried the gelato or frozen yoghurt so I can’t speak for those but the ice cream is very good. Personal favourite so far is the black forest cherry.
They have a lot of flavours on offer, and gluten free and dairy free sorbets..Gelato was okay, not the best gelato there is, but a nice treat, I ordered the pistachio and the rum and raisin..was abit too sweet and overpowering.
The ice cream is fine but its nothing to write home about. At $5 for a small scoop of ice cream, it isnt good value. Its not bad but Id try somewhere else.
Capriccio One Gelato is a small ice cream store in Williamstown. Capriccio’s decor is quite dated, very relaxed environment but the staff are friendly. The homemade ice cream is delicious, perfectly creamy and tastes freshly made. The Limone Gelato is what real authentic Italian gelato tastes like, we have never had anything that can compare.
TIP: Do try the Limoncello & Limone- so creamy and sweet, not icy or crunchy.
After change of ownership last year, this place has gone down hill. The salted caramel ice team I’ve tried last time was not good at all, texture was off putting , icy, and overly sweet with no salt at all. Very disappointing. Would never go back since there are so manny competition on the same street
I’m a local with a child we have lived in Willy for 5 years, first year we tried all the ice cream shops … this one is our keeper we go most weekends when its open! Lots of choice, great range of homemade and generous with the scoop.
