If you want to try Greek food, this is the place you must try. We didnt have any booking, the staffs asked if we dont mind sitting upstairs, of course we dont mind as long we get a seat Overall experience was good and food was nice too. Something different for me.

Arrived for dinner and opt for the $55 banquet. The banquet menu selection was very average and the serving portions wasn’t generous. For $55, we would expect more than just some bread with olives, dips and a Chicken which spun along the rotisserie serving 4 people and was NOT FULLY COOKED. There was some kingfish and some halloumi, but servings were small and still it was difficult to share amongst a big group. The loukoumades were ok… would much prefer it being crispy rather than dense and rubbery. The cocktails tasted like fruit juice.

Could not be more impressed. The Saganaki was stunning and the lamb and chicken Souvas were magnificent. The feta chips just amazing. This was one of my favourite meals in a long time. Could be slightly more in size, but for the price, the atmosphere and the amazing staff, we will be back many times.
We watched in food envy at what others were ordering and made mental notes. The toilets were spotless, the restaurant was full and we even got a quick sport fix upstairs….

Lizzies first impression: located near the beaches in Williamstown, this place has a cool Greek beachy restaurant vibe to it – if only they livened up the music and had more people.

Lizzie enjoyed: the souvlakis were yummy and so were the calamaris as they were cooked well.

Lizzie did not enjoy: the moussaka was nice but didnt have enough in it compared to what Ive had before. The chips were yummy but was very dry and lacked abit of flavour.

Lizzie rates overall: a great place for a group of friends so youre able to share the foods.

We were invited along to Hellenic Hotels 2nd Birthday celebrations and to experience their menu. Aaron our waiter suggested we taste a bit of everything, so we started with Pickled vegetables , tasty white Taramosalata, and triangles of soft warm pita. It was a delicious selection of starters and all three went well together. The next dish to arrive was a hotplate of sizzling Saganaki with sweet little figs…Yummo! Once we had finished the Saganaki, Four tender and smokey Roast lamb ribs were then served and went so well with a glass of Pinot noir.

The Hellenic raw fish was a thinly sliced and dressed kingfish. So soft and delicate, with lovely fragrant pink peppercorns.

Our main was a Cypriot Grain salad, a side of fat Feta Chips, and the oh so tender HH Chicken. This chicken is soaked in brine and then rotisseried whole.
    It was lovely and moist.

You cant end the night without dessert. Give the HH Marshmallow a go. A giant marshmallow toasted at the table! It smells amazing!

Yo-chi sundae – Yochi Frozen yoghurt, Peanut butter in Cones ……..yummo!

We enjoyed a great dining experience. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.

We thank the Hellenic Hotel for having us. We experienced the Hellenic Hotel as guests, and all of our opinions are genuine and are based on our experience at the time of our visit.

We came into Hellenic Hotel which has recently just turned two. Having been to Georges other establishments I knew I was going to be in for a treat. We loved the space immediately going in and I enjoyed the elevator that took you up to the balcony where the restrooms were located .

Starting off our feast we went with the famous saganaki with peppered figs, the helenic raw fish which I think was king fish with pepper berries and the lamb ribs

The saganaki was absolutely mind blowing, I have had so many saganakis and this was not only unique but the flavours were exceptional. The raw fish was very light and the addition of the pepper berries was a nice touch. The best entre we had was by far the lamb ribs, these were the best ribs I have had this year, they were tender, melting off the bone, marinated to perfection, the sauce was 10/10

For mains we ordered half of the chicken on the spit with gremolata with Hellenic slaw, chicken salted chips and also the moussaka

The chicken was so tender and juicy, even the breast still had a lot of moisture to it which is very rare to find ! The slaw which was recommended was the perfect accompaniment, we loved the raisins inside , it was one of the best slaws I have ever had ! Moving on the chicken salted chips, these were impeccable especially due to the fact that the chicken salt is made in house so tasty! The moussaka which is named after Georges mother was also another stand out, after trying many in Greece , this one tops them all, the bechamel is very thick and creamy whilst the lamb was soft and had heaps of flavour, the layers of eggplant was basically melting in my mouth

After all that we were so full so we did not get any dessert , we did get a rice pudding to take away and that was demolished in minutes the day after

Thanks so much for having us , we cannot highly recommend this restaurant enough !
