Worst food in williamstown. Nowadays the food and service quality is going worst .food doesn’t come in table for long time.my frn have to wait 1hr for his meal.they don’t have enough chef at kitchen .previous chef quit which was bad luck for them.
Worst of Williamstown. We visited this hotel to celebrate the 60th birthday for one of the family. A week ago, it had been arranged that the roast of the day would be pork. Everyone turned up today at the time booked, and after paying for my meal, I was told by the waitress that there was no pork. (this was arranged with the owner a week ago!), and yet the waitress tried to bill my card for a meal that didnt exist!!! That was fail 1. Fail 2: Some of the people had to wait an hour for their meal, and others (4 ppl to be precise) had to wait over 2 hours for their meal to be served. Fail 3: One of the chefs did not turn up for work, leaving one person to do all the cooking. Fail 4: We were informed that they could not acquire the selected arranged meal for everyone, but there is a butcher a few shops down. Meals were nice, but everything else was pitiful and a real let down for everyone (Including the main guest). I for one will NOT recommend to anyone, nor will I visit again, ever! Worst restaurant in Melbourne!
Make over and an improvement.. The wine bar at the Rose of Australia Hotel, delivers a very good meal at a cheap price. On our third visit in four weeks. While it is local, there are plenty of other pubs and eating places in Williamstown and surrounds. A good fillet of steak, a seafood dish and a pleasing vegetarian meal. All good and happy to return. The wines were good too!
Meal at the rose of australia. I took the family out for tea to the rose of Australia last night and we really enjoyed what we ordered. The chicken parma was sensational, cooked to perfection and the beer was cold. We had the opportunity to meet the new owners as well which they seem very nice. We will defiantly be going back again and recommend it for a meal and drink.
Hidden Gem!. There were certainly some characters in the bar (very friendly!) and initially there weren’t a lot of people sitting in the bistro which made me nervous, but slowly it started filling up, and I can see why! The parma (my standard to measure all pubs by) was delicious! Really nice size and just the perfect amount of crunch in the breading. Food was on special, drinks were reasonably priced, servers were delightful, what more do you want?!
Good value. It’s like going back in time with the decor but was pleasantly surprised good meals at a reasonable price and staff were very helpful will be back again and the newly opened wine bar looks a winner
Always good. I’ve been coming to the Rose for a couple of years now, not regularly but mostly for dinner midweek. I like the ambience, very low-key, but professional. The quality of the food is consistent, and good. The steak is the pick of the menu in my opinion. Front of house, Louise does a great job, nothing too much trouble
