What a lovely surprise to finally try the Greenery a local within walking distance for us. Food was delicious, staff attentive and knowledgeable. Well be back!
I have been consistently surprised and impressed at the quality of this restaurant/cafes culinary output. Beautiful duck, perfect fries and accompanying salads served with a generously poured wine and deferential service. My only observation is that the quality of the food seems incongruous with the more relaxed cafe feel!

I was drawn in by a homemade biscuit I had with an earlier coffee and based on that I decided to try dinner – I had lamb that melted in my mouth ,the best polenta chips ever and really nice roast carrots
Its not groovy or hip but great food and lovely service
Great food, great vibe and great service. Great addition to the local Williamstown scene. Couple of left of centre options, plus the staples. Will definitely be back with the family.
First visit to the Greenery.
Very impressed. Complimentary caulifower soup with pancetta crisp was creamy and light. We shared the beef carpacchio (so soft and tender, artichoke salad accompaniment was perfect, very generous serve) and chicken liver pate (no photo..the battery died, then we scoffed it before portable battery had time to recharge). Then we shared the mains because I can’t miss out on anything! Pork belly with marmalade, pear and cucumber (bit weird, but George loved it) and slow cooked duck in a nice sweetish sauce with beetroot and apple slaw (oh yeh!).
Just HAD to try a dessert so we went for the middle east inspired rosewater custard pastry with star anise icream. Sticky toffee on the outside (maybe a syrup dip of the pastry would have been nicer and easier on the teeth!)
So we decided we would come back for breakfast on Saturday to try the cornfitters and cauliflower pankakes!
