Super cool cocktail bar with great 20’s/40’s decor. We did a cocktail making class for two. The service was great with lots of information about what we were making and a chance to relax and enjoy cocktails by the fireplace
So cozy with mulled wine, comfy couches and fire place. Perfect for a winter night cap!! Solid happy hour as well, $5 house wines along with other cheap drinks. Will definitely return.
Very classy bar off Chapel Street, its the kinda place where you can dress up and buy expensive cocktails. The set up is 1940’s old style glam, with puffy comfy couches, yellow soft lighting and music that wasn’t too loud so we could talk. The bar area is busy with staff working fast to mix drinks and serve.

Recently I hosted a birthday at Back Bar upstairs in the Gold Lounge. The staff and management were all wonderful in the lead-up and on the night of the event. Grant and his staff were professional, friendly, efficient and easy-going. The drinks and service were fantastic! Atmosphere, cleanliness and appearance of the venue were all excellent! We had the event catered from the Functions Menu provided and many guests contacted me afterwards to compliment the standard of the food served. I couldn’t have been happier and highly recommend Back Bar for private functions or just to drop by casually – it’s a great little bar!

So much fun and fantastic cocktails. I like the vibe Back Bar has, pretty cool place with a good variety of cocktails.
Forget the bars on chapel go and hunt this little gem down. Everything about this bar is fantastic to the setup, the drinks and the bar staff. One of the best bars in the area.
